I was delighted when Catherine booked me for a family photo shoot. We discussed the types of pictures she liked and when she described some Christmas pictures with her daughters baking I knew this was right up my street.

When I arrived at Catherine and Chris’s home on a beautiful autumn morning I was met by 4-year-old Addison bouncing through the kitchen to greet me. She was full of energy and ready to go! 2-year-old Amber proudly showed me her Mini Mouse Christmas jumper, and both girls dived (quite literally) into the baking ingredients.

Once the clouds of flour had settled and we had all brushed ourselves off we headed out for a walk to a local duck pond. The low autumn sun glowed in the girls’ hair as they fed the ducks and played with bubbles.

One rather heart stopping moment came when Amber got a little too close to the edge of the pond and started to topple! Quick reactions from Dad Chris scooped her up and we all heaved a sigh of relief carried on.

The girls’ eyes lit up when I suggested playing in the fallen leaves, Amber gave me her biggest smiles of the day. Capturing the joy on their faces is what it is all about for me.

Christmas baking, feeding the ducks and playing in the leaves, I had an absolutely wonderful time! A great morning with a beautiful family.
