I have photographed two weddings at Tewin Bury Farm and it is such a great venue with a great choice of locations to choose from to suit your wedding. Located in the Hertfordshire countryside it is a beautiful setting and the gardens and grounds are ideal for wedding photography.
Being a photographer at a Tewin Bury Farm wedding is a pleasure and the couples who chose me to be their wedding photographer are such wonderful people these weddings were a joy for me from start to end.
Clare and Ben got married in the Stable part of the venue and the day was amazing from start to end. The red brick walls and timber beams were a great backdrop for their wedding day which was full of so much laughter and love. Bride Clare got ready on site with her bridesmaids and groom Ben got ready also at the venue in a different room. This was ideal for me as I could photograph both parties in the morning. Then it was just a short walk to the ceremony with Clare being escorted by her bridesmaids and the father of the bride.
Michelle and David chose the 17th Century Tithe Barn at Tewin Bury Farm for their wedding at Tewin Bury Farm, which is larger than The Stable and also a fantastic setting alongside the river. The bride and groom were both extremely nervous before their ceremony, but the nerves melted away and the entire day was a huge amount of fun for everyone.
As well as capturing the beautiful photos during the day of a wedding and telling the story in a relaxed and natural way, I also love to stay late when I photograph weddings which is why all my photography collections include unlimited coverage on the day. Clare and Ben’s wedding was a great example of this paying off as late in the evening bride Clare got up and sung with the band. Having these types of photos to look back on forever is really important to me. It is part of the day and the memories should be captured.

Hidden in the beautiful Mimram Valley, Tewin Bury Farm has it all as a wedding venue. They are able to cater for intimate ceremonies, to lavish and grand receptions. As well as the Stable and The Tithe Barn as photographed above, they also have The Millstream Suite for 40 guests and Meadow Barn for up to 500 people.
I was spoilt for choice when it came to locations for wedding photos. The gardens and greenery all around the venue are stunning and well kept. There is also a lot of space for the all-important confetti shot and lovely backdrops for the group photos.
One thing I love to do on wedding days in get photos of all the little details as well. For example, the wedding dress and shoes in the morning. The bride’s bouquet as well as the wedding rings later on in the day. At some venues I might have to search for the prefect spot for these shots, but not at Tewin Bury Farm, I didn’t have to go far at all.
Both weddings photographed here had great evening receptions. After the wedding breakfasts had taken place and the speeches concluded the rooms were quickly turned around for evening fun. Evening guests arrive and it usually all kicks off once the newlyweds cut the wedding cake and head into their first dance. At both weddings as soon as the high tempo music started the dance floors were packed and stayed that way for the rest of the night. Champagne flows and people let their hair down, which for me is always fun to photograph.
